Elephant Descent (commonly known as 304) is Bountiful’s premier directional, downhill-only mountain bike trail. Designed specifically for riders, it offers a high-speed, manicured alternative to the traditional multi-use descent from Elephant Rock, weaving through dense scrub oak and old-growth forest.

Key Features

• The Flow: This trail is built for speed, featuring massive, high-walled berms and "roller coaster" grade reversals that allow you to maintain momentum with minimal braking.
  
• Air Time: The layout includes several tabletops, doubles, and optional gap jumps. Almost all features have clear "B-line" ride-arounds for those keeping tires on the ground.
  
• The Dirt: Because much of the trail is sheltered in the canyon’s shade, the soil often stays tackier and more hero-like than the exposed, dusty sections of the lower Bonneville Shoreline.
